Below are the dates for our regular Open Skiing Days for the 2024-2025 season & also where people can Come n Try.

We aim to start Skiing at 10am, so if skiers could turn up 9.30am


This season, the cost for First Time Skiers is $50.00. 
(this includes your Day Membership + Ski Costs for 2 skis)
Then you will need to upgrade your membership if you return to ski. This membership is only valid for that weekend, then it expires. There is no personal insurance with this membership.

Cost for Return Skiers (2 options) – 
*Social Membership:
Membership Cost: $26 per day
Ski costs: $50 for 2 skis per day
Total cost per ski day: $76.00
This membership is for skiers who only plan to ski at 1 or 2 of our ski days. It is only valid for that weekend and does not include personal insurance.
*Introductory Membership:
Membership Cost: $125 per season
Ski costs: $40 for 2 skis per day
This membership is for skiers who will be skiing at 3 or more of our ski days. Another benefit of this membership is you only have to complete the membership form once as it doesn’t expire until 30 September. You also have personal accident insurance.

Extra skis (more than your 2 skis) are only available if time & conditions permit.


The above costs have been subsidised by our Club.


WE HAVE 10 SKIER POSITIONS AVAILABLE PER SKI DAY.
It will be open to the first 10 people who contact me & forward their membership/insurance form & make payment to myself. Receiving payment & membership form secures your spot. So first in, first booked!


Funds will NOT be refunded if you are a no-show.

YOU DON’T NEED TO BE A SWIMMER, BUT YOU MUST BE WATER CONFIDENT


There will be a sausage sizzle for lunch at the Ski Days held at Cooks River, Manly Dam, Molonglo River and Tweed River.
Also at Cooks River, the St George Rowing Club will be open.
When we are skiing at the Wisemans Ferry, the caravan park kiosk is open. You will be able to buy lunch & drinks there. They have one of the best hamburgers with the lot & hot chips!


WHAT TO BRING
Wear what you want to W/Ski in (swimmers, boardies, singlet, etc.)
Towels
Sunscreen & Hat
Chairs
Money for lunch
Dry clothes to change into


There is an accessible toilet at all ski sites.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO :-
1. Contact Sharon by email sharonpaterson1@hotmail.com  or mobile 0412 966712 to check the availability of the ski day/s that you want to ski at. Please also advise of your disability & approx. weight, so we can bring the right equipment for you.
2. Make payment by transferring funds into our bank a/c. Send payment notification to Sharon.
3. Complete & sign all the highlighted areas of the membership/insurance form (CLICK HERE – WAWA MEMBERSHIP 2024 – 2025 FORM)  & send to Sharon by email.
4. Turn up on the ski day & have fun

For those that receive the NDIS, depending on your PLAN, you could use your funding to cover transport costs and/or for a support worker to help you come water skiing.  These would be claimable under Core and/or Social & Community Participation. 


We also need 5-7 Volunteers to help run our ski days. If anyone would like to become a volunteer, please let Sharon know. Active Volunteer’s membership, lunches & park fees will be paid for by the club to show our appreciation for their time & effort.
Disabled Water Skiing is keen for more volunteers to join us!!                                                                            
Unfortunately, If we don’t have enough volunteers to help run the day then we will have to cancel.

Cancellation Policy
As we have limited ski spots, funds will be refunded if you give notification prior to 5pm the Tuesday before ski day. This allows us to try & get someone else to take your spot.
Payment will NOT be refunded if you do NOT show up on the day.
If we need to cancel due to bad weather, Covid or for any other reason, then your payment will be refunded or your payment can be carried over to another ski day.
